I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
